We collect only what we need to answer you and to prepare your applications, and we never sell your details.
Who we are
Official.degree is an independent agent. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Official.degree. You can reach us through the contact form.
What we collect
- Details you send us: your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, country, education, work experience, the degree you’re interested in and anything you write in a message.
- Your application, if you apply through our online form: your name as it appears on your passport, date of birth, citizenship, home address, an address for paper documents, the degree and program you want, and the documents you upload. These are a photo of your passport or ID card, a passport-style photo if you add one, your CV, and any thesis or other papers you choose to send.
- Documents you share later, such as transcripts and certificates, while we prepare your applications.
- Basic technical data that any web server receives, such as your IP address, approximate country and browser type, used to keep the site secure, stop spam and show the site in your language.
Cookies and statistics
This website doesn’t use advertising cookies or tracking scripts. If you choose a language, a small cookie remembers your choice for a year so the site opens in that language next time. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies or follow you across other websites.
How we use it
- To answer your enquiry and give you a free review
- To prepare and send your applications to the universities you choose, if you become a client
- To arrange translations, apostilles or evaluations that you ask for
- To meet legal and accounting obligations
We use your details because you asked us to, to provide the service you request from us, and to meet our legal duties. Where the law asks for your consent, for example when you send us identity documents, we ask for it on the form and you can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with
We share your details only with the universities you choose to apply to, and with service providers who help us run our service. These include Cloudflare, which hosts our website and our secure application system, Resend, which delivers our emails, and the translators, couriers and credential evaluators you ask us to use. They may use your details only to provide that service. We never sell your personal data.
Some of these providers and universities are in other countries, including the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia. When your details travel between countries, we use providers that protect them with recognised safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details only as long as we need them to answer you and follow up. Application details and uploaded documents are kept for as long as your applications and our legal obligations require, then deleted securely. If you don’t go ahead with your application, you can ask us to delete your documents straight away.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. Send your request through our contact form and we’ll respond within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Our website and application form work only over encrypted connections. Uploaded documents go straight to our secure application system, not to anyone’s email, and only the people who need them to help you can see them.
Changes
If we update this policy, we’ll change the date at the top of this page.
